21 Days to Freedom
Day 12 — Truth: I Am Accepted
Key Scriptures
Ephesians 1:6
Romans 15:7
Devotional
Insecurity constantly asks, "Do they accept me?" The Gospel answers, "You are accepted in the Beloved. “God is not waiting to decide whether He wants you. His answer has already been given through Christ.
Reflection
• Whose approval have I been seeking instead of resting in God's acceptance?
• Have I allowed rejection from others to influence how I believe God sees me?
• In what situations do I find myself trying to prove my worth?
• What would it look like to live each day from the security of being fully accepted in Christ?
• How can I extend the same grace, and acceptance God has shown me to someone else this
week?
Walking in Truth
Reach out to someone who may also need encouragement. As you've received acceptance from Christ, extend it to someone else.
Prayer
Father,
Thank You that I never have to earn Your acceptance. Through Jesus Christ, You have welcomed me into Your presence and made me Your own. Forgive me for seeking my worth in the approval of people instead of resting in Your love. Free me from the fear of rejection and from the need to prove myself. Help me remember that my identity is secure because I belong to You. May I find my confidence in Your acceptance rather than the opinions of others. Teach me to extend that same grace and acceptance to those around me.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
Declaration: I am accepted because I belong to Jesus.
