21 Days to Freedom

Day 11 — Truth: I Am Adopted

Key Scriptures

Romans 8:15–17 Galatians 4:6–7

Devotional

You are not merely someone God allows into His house, you are family. Adoption in Scripture wasn't second-class status—it was a legal declaration that gave the adopted child full rights and inheritance. God didn't rescue you just to save you from judgment but to bring you into His family. You belong at His table!

Reflection

• What does it mean to me personally that God has adopted me as His child?

• Have I ever struggled to believe that I truly belong in God's family? Why?

• Are there areas of my life where I still think or act like an orphan instead of a beloved son or

daughter?

• How would my daily life change if I fully embraced my identity as God's child?

• What is one truth from today's Scriptures that I want to carry with me this week?

Walking in Truth

Read the story of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11–32) and imagine yourself being welcomed home by the Father.

Prayer

Father,

Thank You for calling me Your child. What an incredible privilege it is to belong to Your family. Heal every place in my heart where I have felt rejected, abandoned, or unloved. Replace those painful memories with the assurance that I am forever accepted by You. Help me live each day with the confidence of knowing that I have a place in Your family, an inheritance in Christ, and a Father who delights in me. Teach me to rest in Your love and to walk as Your beloved son or daughter.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

Declaration

I am God's child and I belong in His family.
