21 Days to Freedom
Day 18 — Truth: I Am Free from Comparison
Key Scriptures
Galatians 6:4–5
Hebrews 12:1–2
John 21:21–22
Devotional
Comparison steals joy because it shifts our focus from Jesus to everyone else. When Peter asked Jesus about John's future, Jesus lovingly replied, "What is that to you? You follow Me." Those words are still spoken today. Comparison distracts us from our own race. God has not asked you to become someone else. He has invited you to faithfully follow Him and when your eyes remain fixed on Christ, comparison begins to lose its grip.
Reflection
• Whom do I compare myself with most often?
• How has comparison robbed me of peace or joy?
• What does faithful obedience look like for me today?
Walking in Truth
Encourage someone whose gifts you admire instead of comparing yourself to them.
Prayer
Father,
turn my eyes away from comparison and back to You. Teach me to celebrate others without questioning the work You're doing in my own life.
In Jesus name,
Amen
Declaration
My calling is unique. My race is mine to run. My eyes are fixed on Jesus.
