21 Days to Freedom
Day 6 — The Lie: "I Don't Belong"
Key Scriptures
Romans 8:15–17
Ephesians 2:19
Devotional
One of the deepest wounds insecurity creates is the feeling that we don't belong. Yet from the very beginning, God has desired relationship with His people. Through Jesus Christ, you have been adopted into God's family, and you are no longer an outsider trying to earn a place. You belong and you have a seat at the Father's table. You have brothers and sisters in Christ, and you have an inheritance that can never be taken away.
Your Heavenly Father delights in calling you His child.
Reflection
• When have I felt like I didn't belong?
• Have I allowed rejection from people to shape how I view God?
• What does it mean to know I have been adopted into God's family?
Prayer
Father,
Thank You for making me Your child. Heal every wound of rejection and every place where I believed I was unwanted. Help me live from the security of belonging to You.
In Jesus Name,
Amen.
