Getting Started
How to Use This Devotional
This seven-day journey is designed to be walked through one day at a time. Each day builds upon the one before it, leading you from recognizing what you are carrying to choosing forgiveness, releasing the debt, surrendering the outcome, and learning to walk in freedom.
Take Your Time
Do not rush through these pages simply to complete a devotional. Give the Holy Spirit room to speak. Some days may bring a person or memory to mind immediately. Other days may uncover something you did not realize you were still carrying. Be honest with God about what surfaces.
Read. Reflect. Respond.
Each day includes Scripture, teaching, reflection questions, a practical step in Walking in Forgiveness, prayer, and a declaration. Read the teaching slowly. Sit with the reflection questions. Write honestly. Pray the prayer from your heart. Speak the declaration aloud if you are able. Most importantly, respond to whatever the Holy Spirit is showing you.
Do Not Force the Process
Forgiveness is a choice, but healing may take time. You do not have to manufacture feelings you do not have or pretend something no longer hurts. Bring your real heart before God. He already knows what happened. He knows what you have carried. And He knows how to lead you into freedom.
Keep Moving Forward
There may be moments when an old hurt resurfaces even after you have chosen to forgive. Do not become discouraged. Remember what you are learning: Forgive. Release. Entrust. And keep walking. These seven days are not simply about completing a devotional. They are about learning a new way to live. May you finish this journey with a lighter heart, open hands, and a deeper trust in the Father who holds everything you release to Him.
