Devotional

Everyone has a past and the enemy wants us to believe that our failures are our identity. He whispers that because we have sinned, failed, or made poor choices, we will always carry those labels.

But that is not how God sees us. When you placed your faith in Jesus Christ, your identity changed. You became a new creation. Your past no longer has the authority to define your future because the cross has already spoken a greater word over your life.

God remembers your sins no more—not because they never happened, but because Jesus paid for them completely. Your mistakes may be part of your story, but they are not your identity.

Reflection

• Am I allowing past mistakes to define how I see myself today?

• Is there something I still believe God cannot forgive?

• How would my life change if I truly believed I am a new creation?

Prayer

Father,

Thank You for the forgiveness You have freely given through Jesus Christ. Forgive me for allowing my past to define me more than Your grace. Help me release every regret into Your hands and receive the freedom You have already purchased for me. Teach me to live as the new creation You say I am.
